Kontakt is a producer and publisher of books and catalogues that accompany the work of the collection and document research findings in connection with artists archives and exhibition projects. One of the goals is to support monographs of artists represented in the collection whose works have hitherto not been published extensively but contributed essentially to the canon of art history. In this way, Kontakt tries to fill the gaps of representation with regard to the art production from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.

Since 2011, funding from ERSTE Foundation has enabled Kontakt to support the production of monographs on artists represented in the collection as well as art-theoretical texts that contextualize the collection’s artworks.
