Stuart Brisley

Stuart Brisley has continued his diverse practice encompassing performance, painting, sculpture, drawing, sound, film, writing and curatorial projects for over 60 years. In his performance works he has pushed meaning to the point just beyond the limits of the rational and the logical, where it stands exposed. The deepest human experiences are explored with an understanding of irresolvable paradoxes, where no resolution is offered and truth may only be temporal. M.B.
