Education

Kontakt engages in educational programs which facilitate knowledge about the theory and practice of art from the former Eastern Europe. With these activities, Kontakt devotes itself to this special heritage of progressive art and pursues the question of whether possible answers relevant to the present day might be derived from the experiences and teachings of this specific history of Eastern Europe. Through an open learning process and direct contact with artists, students encounter new approaches to art and art making, which are mediated beyond traditional academic structures. Via unconventional teaching methods, new forms of education and ways of thinking are probed.
