In 2017, Kontakt published an extensive catalogue surveying the collection, its thematic development, and the works that have been collected since 2004. This catalogue was presented at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague on 20 March 2018 to honor Jiří Ševčík (1940–2022), who had been a member of the art advisory board of Kontakt from the very beginning.

Together with his wife Jana Ševčíková, Jiří Ševčík contributed enormously to art and to the history of art and architecture not only in the Czech Republic but throughout the entire region. In reference to the title of the essay he had written for the publication, the event was called “Ray Bradbury Once Said…” In his text, Ševčík argued that Kontakt apprehended a “unique moment in cultural history” and enabled new perspectives from which to reevaluate art from the former West and former East.

The evening brought together a number of friends, colleagues, and companions including Václav Bělohradský, Silvia Eiblmayr, Vít Havránek, Edith Jeřábková, Jiří Kovanda, Dominik Lang, Pavlína Morganová, Boris Ondreička, Tomáš Pospiszyl, Georg Schöllhammer, Petr Štembera, Branka Stipančić, Adam Szymczyk, and Tomáš Vaněk, who honored Jiří Ševčík and Jana Ševčíková with highly personal contributions including speeches, anecdotes, and projections of images from Ševčík’s vast archive.
